Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Swipse ("Service", "Website"). By accessing or using Swipse, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Swipse, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using Swipse on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Swipse provides free, browser-based PDF tools including merging, compressing, converting, editing, and securing PDF documents. All processing is performed client-side in your browser. Swipse reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Swipse only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to process files you do not have the right to access or modify
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features
• Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically access the Service in ways that place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Remove copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Service

4. Intellectual Property

Swipse and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Swipse and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal and commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

5. User Content

Since all file processing occurs locally in your browser, Swipse does not receive, store, or access your documents. You retain all rights to files you process using Swipse. You represent that you have the necessary rights to process any files you submit to Swipse tools.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Swipse is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Swipse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Privacy

Your use of Swipse is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "last updated" date. Your continued use of Swipse after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
