Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2025
At Swipse ("we", "us", "our"), your privacy is fundamental to how we build our products. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Files you process: Swipse processes all files entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your PDF files and documents are never uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to the content of any files you process.
Usage data: We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage analytics (such as which tools are most visited) through privacy-respecting analytics that do not track individuals and do not use cookies.
Contact form submissions: If you contact us through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content in order to respond to your inquiry.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and improve our PDF tools
- To respond to your support requests and inquiries
- To understand how our tools are used in aggregate
- To identify and fix technical issues
3. File Privacy — Our Core Commitment
All PDF processing on Swipse happens locally in your browser. This means:
- Your files are never transmitted to any server
- We never store, view, or analyse your documents
- No third party ever receives your files
- When you close the browser tab, all processed data is gone
4. Cookies
Swipse uses minimal cookies, primarily for technical functionality (such as remembering your preferences). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting core tool functionality.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Google Fonts for typography loading. Font requests are made to Google's servers, which may log your IP address per Google's own privacy policy. No file data is involved in these requests.
6. Data Retention
Since files are processed locally, there is no file data to retain. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months and then permanently deleted.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold (contact form submissions). To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@swipse.com.
8. Children
Swipse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Swipse after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@swipse.com or use our contact form.
