J&K Govt Dismisses Four More Employees for Alleged Involvement in Narcotics Trade

On Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir government dismissed four additional employees for their involvement in the narcotics trade, according to officials.

Officials informed the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the employees dismissed include Abdul Rashid Bhat, a Gang Coolie with the Irrigation & Flood Control Division in Sumbal, Dilbag Singh, a Lineman with the Jal Shakti (PHE) Sub-Division in Hiranagar, Gulzar Ahmed, an Assistant Motorman with the Hydraulic Division in Ramban, and Noor Mohammad Sheikh, a Gang Coolie with the Ferozpora Basin Irrigation Division in Tangmarg.

He said that all the employees have been dismissed from their service in connection with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) cases in their respective areas.

Earlier, government terminated Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Jamadar, Irrigation Division Shopian in connection with a case in FIR No. 21/2023 u/s 8/15 NDPS—(KNO)
