Government Medical College Baramulla Recruitment 2025, check Vacancies and Eligibility
Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla has released a recruitment notification for faculty positions on an academic arrangement basis as per SO 364 of 2020. Retired and non-PSC candidates are invited to apply for the roles of Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors in multiple departments.
Vacancies and Eligibility
The recruitment includes various departments such as Anatomy, Pathology, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Chest Medicine, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Radiotherapy, PMR, Dentistry, and Blood Bank. The engagement will initially be for one year, with the possibility of extension up to six years based on performance and conduct.
Candidates must fulfill the minimum qualification and teaching experience requirements outlined in S.O. 285 (dated August 18, 2021). The maximum age limit for applicants is 67 years, and non-domiciles are eligible to apply as per SO 296 (dated May 16, 2024).

Interested candidates must submit a plain-paper application along with the required documents by April 7, 2025 (4:30 PM) to the office of the Registrar Academics, GMC Baramulla.
Application Fee:
A non-refundable fee of ₹500 is to be paid via bank draft to the Chief Accounts Officer, GMC Baramulla, payable at J&K Bank, TP Baramulla.

- MBBS Degree & Marks Sheet
- State/MCI Registration Certificate
- Post-Graduate Degree or Higher Qualification Certificate (D.M/M.Ch./Ph.D.)
- Experience Certificate from a competent authority
- Professional publications in indexed/national journals
- Proof of conference/seminar paper presentations
- Two recent passport-size photographs
Selection & Benefits
Selection will be as per Government Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023. Professors and Associate Professors will receive additional monthly incentives of ₹50,000 and ₹45,000, respectively, along with house rent allowance (HRA) as per rules.
