Waqf Bill will benefit poor, women and people from backward communities: Rijiju
Srinagar, Apr 06 (KNO): Union Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju stated on Sunday that the Waqf (Amendment) Bill is designed to benefit underprivileged Muslims, women, and individuals from backward communities.
While speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Rijiju told the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that, “Those who are unhappy with the bill simply do not understand it.”
He added that, “Putting politics aside, anyone who truly understands the amendments we’ve made will realise that they will positively impact the poor, Muslims, women, and backward communities over the next two to three years.”
