Summer Vacations Decision Linked to Weather Conditions: Education Minister Sakina Itoo
Srinagar, May 23 (JKNS): Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo stated on Friday that a final decision regarding summer vacations for schools in the Kashmir division has not yet been made.
“We haven’t made any final call on summer vacations so far. The situation is being closely monitored, and we cannot base our decision solely on the ongoing heatwave,” the minister told reporters, according to JKNS.
Minister Sakina added that in view of students facing difficulties during morning assemblies, the government has already modified school timings.
“We have adjusted school hours as an immediate step, and will decide about vacations depending on how the weather unfolds,” she said.
Meanwhile, Meteorogilocal department as per news agency JKNS said that Generally hot & dry with possibility of brief spell of light Rain at isolated places mainly towards late afternoon. (JKNS)
