The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the role of Research Assistant (RA). This opportunity is associated with a prominent research initiative titled “Smart High-Density Apple Orchards Monitoring Using IoT and Machine Learning”, supported by the J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
Project Summary:
This project aims to apply advanced technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning, to improve the monitoring and management of high-density apple orchards. The goal is to promote technological innovation in agriculture and advance precision farming methods.
Position Details:
- Position: Research Assistant (RA)
- Nature of Appointment: Temporary and co-terminus with the project
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹20,000 (Consolidated)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential Qualification:
- B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or an equivalent degree
- Minimum of 60% marks in qualifying degree
- Desirable Qualification:
- M.Tech. in CSE or an equivalent degree
- Research experience in IoT and/or Machine Learning
- GATE qualification is preferred
