
PM Kisan 20th installment may come between these dates in June, know who will get the benefit of Rs 2000?
PM Kisan Yojana Update:
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, the government is likely to release the 20th installment soon. It is anticipated that this installment will be credited to farmers’ accounts in the third or fourth week of June 2025. However, an official announcement regarding the exact date is still awaited.
Installments Released So Far:
So far, 19 installments have been distributed under this scheme. The most recent one, the 19th installment, was released on 24 February 2025, benefiting over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women farmers. Prior to that, the 18th installment was provided in October 2024, and the 17th in June 2024.
Three installments are received every year
The government gives financial assistance of Rs 6000 to farmers every year in three installments. That is, eligible farmers get Rs 2000 every 4 months. This money is transferred directly to their bank account, which maintains transparency.
What is the purpose of PM-KISAN scheme?
The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to farmers for small needs related to farming. This improves the income of farmers and helps them buy things necessary for their crop.
Who gets the benefit?
- Farmers who have cultivable land in their name are eligible for this scheme.
- But some sections are excluded from the scheme, such as
- Institutional landholders (land in the name of trust or institution)
- Government employees (except for some exceptions)
- Professional people like doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs etc.
- Farmers paying income tax
How to check payment status?
Farmers can check the status of their payment by visiting the PM-KISAN website. For this, it is necessary to keep their Aadhaar number and bank account number updated correctly.
What should farmers do?
Eligible farmers are advised to update their documents and information on time. If all the information is correct, then the 20th installment of Rs 2000 will be transferred directly to their account in June. This scheme has helped crores of farmers across the country so far and its benefits will continue in future as well.
