New update on the 21st installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi!
This festive season may bring disappointment for many farmers, as they had been counting on the PM Kisan payment to arrive before the celebrations. Their expectations, however, have not been met yet.
Across the country, farmers are anxiously awaiting the release of the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana, hoping that the government will credit the funds before Diwali. This anticipation has brought a sense of excitement in rural areas.
The installment has already been disbursed in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand, where early payments were made due to natural calamities such as landslides.
Installment Release Details:
On September 26, 2025, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the 21st installment for Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. Later, on October 7, 2025, the funds were also transferred to beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir. The quick release aimed to provide timely relief to flood-affected farmers in these regions.
Details of release of 21st installment –
On September 26, 2025, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the 21st installment of PM Kisan to Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Later, on October 7, 2025, the installment was also deposited in Jammu and Kashmir. This rapid disbursement of funds was done to provide immediate assistance to the flood-affected areas.
The scheme aims to reduce the expenditure burden of farmers during the inter-crop period, provide necessary capital support for agricultural activities and strengthen their livelihoods. The 20th installment was released in August 2025, with the amount reaching the accounts of more than 8.5 crore farmers. The next installment is likely to be released in October or November.
Is the 21st installment likely to arrive before Diwali? –
The government has not yet announced the official date. However, it is expected that these funds will reach the accounts of farmers before Diwali. If these funds arrive during the festive season, then the farmers will get relief. This means that the money should arrive in the accounts on Monday. Only then will it be as if it has arrived for the festival.
Otherwise, it will not happen. We need to know when the government will deposit the money. However, there is no update about the money even today. Tomorrow is a holiday. And Diwali is a festival. There will be no banks on that day either. This means that it is expected that the Prime Minister’s Farmer’s Money will not arrive for the festival. This can be called a setback for the farmers who were expecting the money to arrive.
If we look at the trend of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana funds for the last few years, money has been deposited in the accounts before Diwali. In 2023, the due installment at this time came on November 15, in 2024, the Kisan Samman Yojana installment came on October 5. This means that for the last time, money has been deposited in the accounts of farmers before Diwali. Today, the 18th is Dhanteras, and banks are open, but there is no possibility of the 21st installment being deposited on Saturday. October 19 is Sunday, and October 20 is a Diwali holiday.
