
KPDCL Employee Arrested While Accepting Rs 4000 Bribe
Srinagar, May 06 (KNO): The Anti-Corruption Branch of the CBI in Srinagar apprehended a Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) employee in the Magam area of Beerwah, Budgam, on charges of bribery.
According to an official quoted by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the accused, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar, was caught in the act while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from a complainant.
He said the complainant had filed a written complaint alleging that the employee concerned was demanding a bribe from him for facilitating a power connection to his poultry farm.
“Upon receiving the complaint, ACB Srinagar verified it and laid a trap to apprehend the employee red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 4000. A case FIR No. 3 of 2025 u/s 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 has been registered against him,” he said—(KNO)
