JKBOSE May Declare Class 10th & 12th Results Simultaneously: Server Capacity Key to Final Decision
JKBOSE Considers Simultaneous Declaration of Class 10th and 12th Results, Dependent on Server Capacity
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is considering announcing the results of the Class 10th and 12th annual exams on the same day. A senior official stated that this move hinges on the server’s capacity to handle high traffic. “With modern technology, such a move is possible, but our main concern is whether the servers can manage the load,” the official told Greater Kashmir. He added that the board is looking into hiring a private network to boost server capacity and ensure the website functions smoothly, allowing students to access their results without difficulties.
As already reported by this newspaper, the class 12th result is expected to be declared on April 30 or May 1, 2025, by the JK Board of School Education (JKBOSE). However, the JKBOSE officials are planning to declare the class 10th result on the same day as well. “If things go well and we do not face any practical problems. We will announce the result of both the classes on the same day. The result of both the classes, if we succeed, will be either declared on April 30 or May 1,” the official said.
The official said the decision to declare both the results on the same day will set a new precedent. “All this is being worked out in the interest of the stakeholders, which include our students and their parents, as well as teachers,” the JKBOSE official said. The official said that besides looking for possibilities to use a private network, they will also share the result gazette on social media so that it reaches everybody on time and the rush on the website remains less. “Once the Gazette remains available on social media, it will keep sharing and will ease out the load on the website,” the official said. The official further said that to further ease the load on the website, they will try to declare the class 12th result in the morning and later declare the class 10th result in the late afternoon.
“We will keep a gap of eight to nine hours between the two results so that the website remains stable,” the official said. The official further reiterated that there are 90 per cent chances to declare the result on April 30. “Otherwise it will be declared on May 1 of 2025,” he said. He said the result was complete while the final process is with the result computing agency. “They (the computing agency) have not yet given a signal to go for the 30th. Because there are a lot of things that are being worked out. That is why we have not finalised April 30 as the final date,” the official said. (GK)
