Unexpected Questions Create Panic Among Students

Students taking today’s mathematics exam encountered an unforeseen challenge as three questions—Q23 (4 Marks), Q29 (6 Marks), and Q30 (6 Marks)—were not part of the revised NCERT syllabus. These topics had been officially excluded following syllabus restructuring, causing confusion and distress among the students.

Out-of-Syllabus Topics

The following topics, which had been removed from the NCERT syllabus, were included in the paper:

  • Polar Form of Complex Numbers
  • Solutions of Trigonometric Equations
  • Arithmetic Progressions

Since students had not prepared for these topics, many struggled to attempt the questions, which collectively accounted for 16 marks.

Muneer Sir Demands Grace Marks

Recognizing the unfair situation faced by students, Muneer Sir, a respected mathematics educator, has strongly demanded grace marks of up to 20 to compensate for the confusion caused. He emphasized that students should not be penalized for an error that was not theirs and urged authorities to take immediate corrective action.

Possible Solutions

With 16 marks at stake, students and educators are calling for fair resolutions, including:

  • Granting grace marks (up to 20) to affected students, as proposed by Muneer Sir.
  • Re-evaluating the scoring criteria to ensure fairness.
  • Seeking clarification from the examination board to prevent similar mistakes in the future.
