Dr Darakhshan Andrabi Praises LG Sinha’s Decision to Offer Jobs to Families of Shelling Victims
Srinagar, May 21 (JKNS): Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, has hailed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s decision to provide government jobs to the families of civilians killed in cross-border shelling as a significant and praiseworthy initiative.
In a statement to the JKNS news agency, Dr Andrabi said the announcement to offer government employment to the next of kin of those who lost their lives due to Pakistan’s shelling brings much-needed relief to the grieving families.
She emphasised that such steps not only comfort the victims’ families but also highlight the administration’s strong support for its citizens during challenging times. “This compassionate move showcases the government’s commitment to those who have suffered tragic losses,” she remarked.
The Lieutenant Governor made the announcement during his visit to Rajouri and Poonch, where he met with the affected families and assessed the situation following the shelling and Operation Sindoor. (JKNS)
