Heatwave: Government Considering Early Summer Vacation for Students
Srinagar, June 11 (KNO): Health and Education Minister Sakina Itoo stated on Wednesday that the government is closely observing the current weather conditions and will decide on announcing an early summer break for schools based on the situation.
While speaking to the media, Itoo told the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the School Education Department is keeping an eye on the weather. “If we feel an early summer vacation is necessary, we will make a decision accordingly,” she said.
“It has been only two days of the heat wave. If the heatwave continues, then we will take a call accordingly,” she said.
About the tourism, Itoo said, “Tourism in Kashmir is very famous and we want more and more tourists to come here and enjoy the nature.”
In the meantime, the minister said that it has committee has completed the reservation report that will be submitted in cabinet wherein it will be discussed.—(KNO)
