DSEJ Declares Summer Break for Jammu Division Schools from June 7 to July 16
Teachers to Resume Duties on July 14; Online Support for Students Required During Holidays
Jammu, May 31 (JKNS): The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has officially declared a 40-day summer vacation for all government and recognized private schools located in the summer zones of Jammu division.
As per the DSEJ order accessed by JKNS, the summer break for students will commence on June 7 and conclude on July 16, 2025. Meanwhile, teaching staff are expected to report back to school on July 14. Additionally, schools are instructed to ensure online academic support for students throughout the vacation period.
The order further states that teaching staff shall report to their respective schools on July 14, 2025, for ensuring the readiness of schools for the return of students.
Staff have been asked to ensure cleanliness, preparation of Teaching Learning Material, lesson planning, time table planning, and facilities for online classes like ICT labs are fully arranged before students return.
The order mandates that all teachers shall remain available for any online guidance of students during the vacation period.
It further warns that any default on the part of the head of the school or teaching staff in complying with these directions shall attract action under rules.
It also directs the In-Charge Computer Section to upload the order on the official website of the Directorate for public access. (JKNS)
