
The Meteorological Department announced on March 17 that the weather in Jammu and Kashmir will remain mostly dry until March 26.
According to Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Director of the Meteorological Department, there may be light snowfall in some isolated higher areas on the night of March 19. However, a fresh spell of rain or snow is expected around March 27-28.
A fresh spell of light rain and snow is expected on March 27-28, Dr Mukhtar said.
The department has advised travelers, tourists, and transporters to follow administrative and traffic advisories. Farmers have been advised to resume farm operations, while people are urged to avoid avalanche-prone and slopy areas. (JKNS)
