Domicile Certificates Now Digitally Issued Across J&K: CSC Nipora Assisting Applicants from All Districts

In a major push towards digital governance, the administration in Jammu and Kashmir has ramped up the issuance of digitally signed domicile certificates through verified Common Service Centres (CSCs). Residents from all ten districts of the Union Territory can now apply for and obtain their domicile documents through centres like Khidmat-e-Khalq CSC, Nipora, which has become a reliable hub for applicants from South Kashmir and beyond.
The initiative, enforced under Rule 5 of the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020, has simplified the earlier tedious process. Now, applicants no longer need to visit tehsil offices multiple times — the entire process, from document upload to certificate download, can be handled at a registered CSC.
