Srinagar, April 20 (JKNS): Due to the current extreme weather and unfavourable forecasts, officials announced on Saturday that all schools in the Kashmir Valley will remain closed tomorrow.

Education Minister Skaina Itoo, according to news agency JKNS, posted on X that, considering the persistent harsh weather and negative forecasts, the authorities have decided to suspend classwork in all schools across the Kashmir Valley for one day—Monday, April 21.

The decision has been taken purely as a precautionary step to safeguard the well-being of students, officials said.

Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing persistent rainfall for the past few days, with reports of flash floods, landslides, and traffic disruptions surfacing from multiple districts. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely. (JKNS)
