Srinagar, June 23 (KNO): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has expressed heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for sanctioning 19 significant road and tunnel infrastructure projects in the Union Territory, with a total investment of ₹10,637 crore.

In a post on X, reported by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), LG Sinha conveyed his deep gratitude, noting that these projects include the construction of important tunnels such as Peer Ki Gali and Sadhana, the Zaznar-Shopian stretch of NH-701A, a four-lane flyover from Lal Chowk to Parimpora, the Trehgam-Chamkote segment of NH-701, a four-lane flyover at Magam on the Narbal-Gulmarg route, and the Qazigund Bypass, among others.

He highlighted that these strategically significant projects will enhance both troop movement and overall logistics. The new infrastructure will also boost tourism connectivity, reduce travel time through tunnel construction, provide year-round accessibility, and contribute to the region’s economic development.
