Aadhaar Card Update: If you have not updated Aadhaar for 10 years, then immediately go to the nearest Aadhaar center and get it updated, because if you do not do so, your Aadhaar card can also be cancelled. After which the cardholder may have to visit the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) headquarters in Delhi.

UIDAI verifies Aadhaar cards every eight to 10 years, in which if there is no update in the Aadhaar card for a long time, it is considered inactive and action is taken to cancel such suspicious Aadhaar cards. Therefore, UIDAI has already implemented this system to identify active Aadhaar cards.

After the cancellation of the Aadhaar card, the cardholder has to go to the UIDAI headquarters in Delhi, where the problem is resolved at the concerned help desk. Aadhaar centers are not authorized to reactivate the cancelled Aadhaar card.

Uploading photo ID proof is necessary

According to Operation Manager Digvijay Chaudhary, most of the cardholders are such who do not need any changes in their name and address. They do not need to update their identity. To identify such cardholders as alive, UIDAI has made it mandatory for everyone to upload photo proof every eight to 10 years. PAN card, voter ID, passport, driving license etc. can be uploaded as photo proof.

Keep updating biometrics and iris

According to Digvijay Chaudhary, there is a partial change in the biometrics of the fingers of senior citizens after a few years. Due to this, many cardholders are not verified in biometric punching. Most complaints are received in ration card and attendance biometric verification. Therefore, every ten years, the Aadhaar card holder should get his finger biometric, iris and face biometric updated.
